Jerry Jones and Tony Romo.....What Can You Say About Those Two?!

He agreed  to six-year extension $100 million deal with $55 million being guaranteed and no not talking about Joe Flacco, who last season won the Super Bowl and received Super Bowl MVP, talking about Tony Romo. Yes, you read that right Tony Romo!

Jerry Jones decided to give the player who has one playoff win and when ever clutch moment that presents Romo seems look like a deer in headlights. Whether have Tim Tebow in a clutch situation then Romo and Tebow can't find a quarterback job in the NFL to save his life.

Maybe Jerry Jones should pick up Tebow as a situation quarterback and when those clutch moment come put Tebow in. It couldn't hurt their chances. Hell that move may help their chances in close games.

But Jerry Jones gave Romo an extension wroth $100 million with $55 million guaranteed which is more than what Joe Flacco got and he won the Super Bowl.

The Cowboys fan should take a page out the Jaguars fans and send a petition to the President asking for Jerry Jones to give up his general manger position and just be the owner. Because Jerry Jones is a great business man but a GM well that's a another story.

After giving Romo that ridiculous extension, Jerry wants Tony Romo to going to be spend more time around the team’s Valley Ranch practice facility than he has in past years.

How much time? "Peyton Manning-type time on the job" Jerry said.

“If Tony, for instance, would be here Monday through Saturday … from seven in the morning to six o’clock at night all over this place then that’s better than the way it’s been,” Jones said. “We’ll have more success, and Jason believes that. It’s certainly at quarterback but he believes it at the other positions.

“Tony is going to have more time, more presence, not only in the offseason but when the season starts, beginning Monday, assuming we played Sundays. He’s going to have more time on the job. A part of what we agreed with was extra time on the job, beyond the norm. That doesn’t mean that he didn’t have a lot of time on the job, but extra time on the job, Peyton Manning-type time on the job.”

So that’s not implying that Romo wasn’t around enough before?

“No. It’s a bonus,” Jones said. “Anybody will tell you that Peyton Manning’s involvement in what they do is a bonus as opposed to what the general commitment is of top quarterbacks in the NFL. That’s a bonus. Again, because I haven’t been in meetings with Peyton for a long time, but we’re committed and [Romo's] committed to that type of in-season and off-season approach for these years under his contract.”

Even Tony Romo said he going to started to slow down playing golf and be more involved with the team in the offseason and during the season.

Really Romo so it took a big pay day, only one playoff win, and not even making the playoffs the last few years to realized maybe you need to put in some more work in the offseason and become the leader on the because which most quarterbacks are on  their team.

There is no leader on this team on the field. The leader of this team isn't even Jason Garrett, its the old rich man sitting in the press box.

Romo should be the leader of this team and that's the step he hasn't took yet. His teammates are looking for him to be a leader but Romo has been too busy looking down at a golf ball or looking down at the ground because he just threw a game losing interception.

Romo has all the talent in the world and is a good quarterback but doesn't have the intangibles that makes a good quarterback great. Those intangibles he missing are leadership and the the able to performance in clutch situations.

And now maybe Romo can become a great leader but it starts in the offseason which it seems he has figured out hope for the Cowboys sake he has.

As for the clutch factor, well they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks!
